the first oolong i sipped was a very sweet one and i immediately loved it.It made me discover this wonderful world of oolong teas
It turned out that this tea was a ginseng oolong.(i bought some in china)
Do other people have experiences with ginseng oolong, and can they recommend some good suppliers?
Because some ginseng oolong i tasted was really bad, i think they sometimes use low quality leaves or so.
I heard that the ginseng oolong from tenren is pretty good , but i havent tasted it myself.
If you could share some ginseng oolong experiences i would be grateful , thanxs

I have no idea about ginseng oolong. But in my impression, since TenRen is a large chain store in Taiwan and mainland China, it has relatively stable quality. In China it's also famous for being very much overpriced. If you get the high price tag tea from TenRen, normally it will be of good quality, but you will be spending much more than the market average. But I am not sure how their price/quality ratio is compared with north American retailers.

I'm sorry to disagree, but I have never had a good oolong from Ten Ren.
I can recommend this one from TeaCuppa:

i had the ginseng oolong from TenRen (forget price): the green oolong flavor/tannin was clashing a bit with the sweet feeling of the ginseng.
also had some from ZhongGuoCha ($3.5/oz, 2007): my notes: had alot of ginseng on it, good sweetness.
