Never enough space. And the worst thing is that stuff gets lost in the shuffle and may not surface for months or years. Oy!

Today’s photo comes from the closed case department, specifically the Tencha Files: Swamp sunflower, blooming in abundance just a few months ago, are now dried up stalks.

And the creamy Tencha from Pentox is just a memory. Thanks again, Pentox!

Salsero, I always look forward to your pictures. Beautiful.

Within the last month my tea collection has expanded exponentially. A little while ago I bought a small wicker bookcase to use for well, books. However, it is now completely devoted to my tea and teaware. I'll take a picture and post it later on after I sleep and take my test. It will most likely be adequate for a few months since I've run out of money to spend on more teaware.

No tea right now, it's bedtime!

Love to hear it. Thanks.

Good luck on the GRE tomorrow. I took it about 35 years ago.

One shelf in the kitchen cabinets turned into 4 pretty quick. Maybe that'll be enough for now.

I always need more room, never seem to have enough.
I need to buy a cabinet, if I could find a spot to put it.

Ugh. I'm always out of room. And I just bought a BIG teapot on ebay tonight. I think I need to have a virtual garage sale.

I still have plenty of room available for tea and teaware in my apartment. However I don't plan to buy more tea than I have now. For teaware it is another story.

Yunnan golden tips this morning.

It started with one forlorn bag of SN on a shelf in a kitchen cupboard. Inexplicably, I now have two shelves full. And I'm expecting two shipments next week.
Who to blame? TeaChat, of course.

I don't have enough room. But my house is really small, not like some of you guys, having a big house and still running out of space :P

Tea, I think it's ok for me. After all, one can't consume infinite amount of tea every year, so there is a purchase limit. About tea ware, I still hold myself from buying too many, but the problem is they accumulate :P

Maybe. I suppose I've already "taken care" of this issue -- I followed CDS's lead and I have ordered a "pumidor" for stashing my growing collection of pu-erh. I hadn't thought about it, but that was about 2 weeks ago, so I guess I should be hearing in 2-4 more weeks. Woo hoo!

I've finally made my way through all those pu-erh samples that I have (though I still have some beengs I haven't sampled yet...), but I decided to take a break from pu-erh and am enjoying the oolongs, blacks and greens that I have, especially since they have shelf-lives. So this morning I'm enjoying Adagio's ali shan. Mmm. Has a grassy overtone similar to some Japanese greens.

Somehow, one shelf in a kitchen cabinet does the job for me. I rarely have more than a dozen teas on hand at a time.

Drax, thanks for the note on Adagio's Ali Shan. That's on my sample list for my next order.

This morning I'm drinking Keemun Concerto. Not the best Keemun I've ever had, but not bad either.

I have room for my tea but now need to find a home for my teaware- I used to have just a mug, infuser, and one chinese teacup but now have a glass teapot and gaiwan with more on the way. I ordered two teapots for Japanese tea- patiently awaiting these!! and on Friday treated myself to the cup linked below- I feel in love with this cup while reading through all the posts here- my parent conference went well so click click and now I'm waiting for a cup too! I also pulled out several of my greatgrandmothers demitasse cups- they hold just a little less than my chinese teacup and are a fun change of pace. The colors are pretty too and fun to match with the tea- I have three soft pastels and two brighter bolder colors. I used the bright bold gold on superbowl sunday :D

my cup

I have a sample of Adagio's alishan and have enjoyed it twice at work- I really like it. Did a much better brew the second time- I'm learning.

Currently enjoying jade cloud.

Here I am, back from the Wilds of Kentucky... woohoo!

Everyone has running water again, I think. Power was back on as of 2 days ago at my home, although my parents are still without and running on generator. Thank goodness gas prices went down before all this... they've spent a fortune on gasoline as it is. Internet and cable television are back on at my house as of this morning! Yippee!

I won't bore you with more storm details, except to say I have never seen the likes of such devastation here in my entire life, nor have my parents who are 75 yrs old. Every tree, everywhere you look, is broken. Not a limb or two... the entire tops of all trees are broken off, as if a massive tornado skimmed over the tops of the trees without touching down on the ground. It is unbelievable. But, we are all fine.

Storage... never, EVER have enough, for tea or anything else. In my cup this morning... some delicious Awacha high-grown sencha gifted to me by a tea friend... easily the nicest sencha I have had outside of my purchases from O-Cha. I am adoring every drop. And last night, at midnight, I had my first real matcha... pictures are forthcoming soon. Yes, I know... madness to drink it so late, but I only stayed up til 0130 and then slept like a baby.

It's so good to be back... happy TeaDay all. :)

Right now I live with my parents and my mother will not allow me to keep anymore teaware in her kitchen and she says we have to drink the tea we have before we can buy more. We buy more? She doesn't buy tea, I do, but she sure drinks it. :? Oh well I guess that is my rent payment living at home. :D This fall I will be moving out again and I have some teaware already picked out for when I have my own place.
