Tuesday TeaDay 2/10/09 How many different teas in a day?

by Chip » Feb 10th, '09, 00:30

It is a great TeaDay. Please stop by and share what is in your cup throughout the day.

Yesterday the top response for where to drink tea was the "computer room" with living room/dining room close behind. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. How many different teas do you have on a typical day or an average day? Please share your typical tea day with us.

I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone ... bottoms up!

Aged Wenshan Baozhong

Three most days, sometimes four. Course tomorrow the Gainesville Tea Buzz™ is meeting so that number could go up by multiples!

Supposedly the dragon’s breath has not touched this tea since 1982, never re-roasted.

I typically drink three different teas at work (working my way through tea bags that won't die) and then one more once I get home. Sometimes more if I have time but that is a rarity.

Typically 3 - I'd prefer 4 but there usually isn't time.
More on the weekends than at work.

I find that I'm usually in the mood for one type of tea per day.

I usually have from 3 to 6 teas a day.

Because I typically have four open at any one time I like to try and have at least 2 each day. Sometimes I might get through four in a day, or I might have one tea more than once.

No tea just yet but Lapsang Souchong shortly.

Jack :D

Usually 2-3, but one of them is my morning matcha, which practically guarantees I'll have 2 by day's end.

Two for me. Black iced tea throughout the day and then either a pu-erh or (lately) Jasmine green.

Usually one tea per day for me. I tend to brew in bulk, about one liter a pop. So in order to get the most out of the leaves, I feel I have to resteep a couple of times. That method doesn't leave a lot of room for variety on individual days.

Two pots of White Symphony so far today.

It's a toss up between one or two. It depends if I have any tea at work, or if the tea I'm having at home "dies" too quickly.

I'm having a slow start this morning. I need to stick around for a plumber to fix my shower. Apparently it's leaking down to the floor below. Here's a time when living on the top floor of an apartment complex is a good thing!

Meanwhile, I'm having some of adagio's fujian baroque today.

Usually two. I'll get three or four infusions from one type in the morning and then switch when I reload for the afternoon. Occassionally I'll have decaf or herbal in the evening.

A new, to me, estate Pekoe this morning. It's Lumbini Estate pekoe and so far I'm liking it - I'll see how it does on subsequent infusions!

Oh, I found out my purveyor may have some oolong coming soon. :D

I only drink about two or three different actual teas a day, but if you count herbals sometimes two or three more of them.
