by Chip » Feb 11th, '09, 17:17

Here are the finalists for the TeaChat Gaiwan Contest. The order is random, literally pulling names out of a hat. Pick your one favorite. Top 3 finalists also win Gift Certificates from Adagio (listed in the original topic).

Polls close on Sunday 2/15 at 11:59 PM.

Congratulations to the finalists and good luck in the Finals!

This is currently the only gaiwan I have, except for one tiny shrimp gaiwan that is a saucerless style. I've had others, but tend to give them away to new tea enthusiasts, so they don't stick around long enough for photos.

I adore gaiwan (what is the plural? hmmmm...) but for some unknown reason, tend not to purchase them. Maybe when my chawan obsession cools off, I'll spend some time on finding the perfect gaiwan set(s)?

This is my main baby - don't know how I ever survived without it!

Now I'm saving up to get the matching cups that go with it![/img]

#3 Brandon

I own one gaiwan and it is plain white. Maybe there will be a conciliation category for plain white gaiwan.

I'll toss my gaiwan top in the ring ..... Here is a my only one, not too exotic, for rough and tumble brewing .

Handmade, handpainted, beautiful.

Very thin walls, it is designed for green tea.

Here is my entry, Only the lonely gaiwan. It won't be for long since I think I need the rice porcelain gaiwan that Cinnamon Kitty posted. :P The leaves are Dan Cong Oolong from Seven Cups.

Do the polls close 11:59 PM EST or PST or somewhere in between?
