Happy TeaDay to everyone! I hope everyone has a nice Valentines Day!
Please take time to share what is in your cup today.
Yesterday the top response was less than 10 miles for how far from ones place of birth people currently lived, pretty surpising to me. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaRoom poll and discussion topic. If you could choose, what would you want to receive for Valentines Day? Could be interesting, and I am sure I will miss many of your choices.
Please share.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.
Remember to vote for your favorite Gaiwan in the Finals under Teaware!

Oh dear. It is Valentine's Day. I picked
Other not because of my vivid imagination, but because of my complete lack of imagination. Drat, wish I have a Valentine's Day photo. Well, for a little change of pace, how about a photo of Sencha? What the Japanese have done with tea is just astounding. It seems like a new miracle almost every time I drink it.
Well, I guess sencha is what makes me ga ga on Valentines.

Flowers, candy, and a card... I am a traditionalist.

But if I have to pick one, I say flowers. I used to date a guy who loved to send flowers, and it made me feel ridiculously special. I'm flying solo this year, so I'll probably do without... just not the same when you get them for yourself!
Happy Valentine-Tea Day to all...
Sarah

I picked other. I wanted and was supposed to get my new tattoo done but my artist got sick and had to cancel.

So I guess I can take a box of cannoli, some wine and a quiet night in with the bf. That's how I roll.
Having some vanilla chai rooibos before bed.

I don't know: maybe a combination of fine dining, tea and chocolate, but it happens quite frequently during the whole year for me.

Great pictures!
I picked other = the gift of being here and not overseas. I'll just leave it at that.
I'm continuing with the pot of ali shan that I started yesterday. I only got 2 brews out of it, so I'll get a couple more today and then maybe move on to something else...

I picked other but I really wanted to pick ***all of the above!!***
All the choices sounded great and I've received all of them one year or another except the techy stuff. Dh is not so into that so he usually doesn't gift it. We went out to a very lovely dinner last night at our fave special occasion french restaurant. Tonight I'll cook a special dinner yet to be decided- maybe paella. And I'm hoping for some chocolate and a new gaiwan.
I found a chinese tea shop in Rockville MD- I went home a different way- had to pick up some spices for tonight's dinner. It's TenRen- I had a very good cup of osmanthus (sp?) oolong and brought home a teeny tiny bit of Tung Ting oolong which I am currently enjoying and Ti Kuan Yin.
Salsero- I so agree with the sencha comment! I may have to try my new teaware today- I'm awaiting a scale so I can brew my O-Cha as best as I can but may play with some from Teaism. My patience is wearing thin to try my new O-Cha tea.
geekgirl- loved the tea heart!!

Zaleha complained that it was easy for Men to buy gifts for ladies [floweres, perfume, chocolates et al], but not so easy for Ladies to choose gifts for Men "What did I want"?
I pointed her at some nice teaware, she was impressed
I was excited
Then she changed her mind.

She sent me an Olive Tree to remind me of our holiday in Spain walking through Olives whilst rambling in the mountains at Grazalema

Ooops. Forgot today was Valentine's Day...I guess I am not a very romatic girl
I picked other because I am 1)trying to replace all of my stolen CDs and 2)expand my book collection. So, I would rather get a CD or a book than I would than flowers or chocolates since they would last longer

If I could choose it would be fine dining. I love good food and so does my fiance. Unfortunately this year he is deployed, so a nice dinner is not going to happen. Im happy with what I got though a funny card, flowers and a phone call.
Drinking Irish Breakfast this morning. Mmmm.

I picked flowers, just because I've never received them and it would be kind of novel.
I'm trying a new tea this morning: Black Spiral from Tao of Tea. The dry leaves are very pretty and look a bit like Adagio's Golden Spring. It's a very rich tea with a strong natural sweetness like sweet potatoes (one of my favorite foods). I only ordered a little bit, just to try it out, but I think I'll be going back for more.
