Tea & Twitter

by GT500Driver » Feb 14th, '09, 21:23

I've noticed that several posts I've made to twitter regarding tea have gotten me followers. Tea bloggers, Teatulia, and a couple others. Just wondering who all on here has twitter, or if anyone knows of anyone that posts interesting things about tea on twitter.

I'm jmstitt on twitter if anyone's interested in following. Not everything has to do with tea, as I talk about my day to day life, but I post links I find interesting pretty often.

I am also on twitter, under aliasgirl18. I am pretty new to twitter so I am not sure of anyone that posts tea related stuff but Adagio is on twitter and you can follow them. Though I just started with twitter it has become addicting in the short time

It is indeed addicting. I'm on twitter under teaformeplease. I use it in connection with my blog so my posts are almost always about tea. :D

Added all you guys, this keeps up we'll have a nice little communitea on twitter.

Goodtea is an account by kevin rose, balmung135, if you want to add it too. He's not really a purist with tea, though he does drink many different kinds, his tea ware isn't something he focuses on. In that respect, he's like me right now, just drinking the tea. But that account does post some cool links from time to time, he made it because people kept asking him tea questions.

Twitter Accounts and Tea

by johnoed » Feb 17th, '09, 05:15

Yeah I follow Kevin Rose too and agree he doesn't use that account as often as he could but I follow his regular twitter account. He's an important voice in Silicon Valley and a really down to earth guy. He talks about his love of tea on Diggnation sometimes and that's what started his tea twitter account. My Twitter account is Johnoed. I don't post often but I read a ton. I read incoming Twitters on my Blackberry...well a select few.

I'm becoming seriously addicted to tea twittering :) johnoed, know of any good places in Jersey City for loose leaf tea? I desperately miss Janam, cute little tea place that used to be on Grove Street.

Horsencl,

Was Janam the cafe that was open for like a month and then quickly closed? I might be mistaken because I was thinking it was more on JFK then on Grove. I don't think I knew about Janam.

Anyway, I recently ventured into the "Logan's Run" community of Pavonia within Jersey City. I hadn't been there in years but went to check out Babo Teahouse. I used Tea Map to find this shop but honestly after visiting I have to say Babo Teahouse isn't my idea of a tea house. It's very "Modern Japanese" with bubble tea, fried chicken and waffles and funky music playing in the background. I was hoping for a more elegant British style tea house. However, they are at the right location for their audience. I'm not a "Jersey City Commuter" so I won't be making the trip back there.

I realize the above paragraph is extremely specific to residents of Jersey City and Bayonne and others reading it might not understand some of the references. If your left scratching your head then I guess you just need to come visit the best darn city Jersey has got.

Peace,
Jonathan
