Hi gang! I have been drinking tea for about a year, but other than a general knowledge of green, black and chamomile tea I have no understanding of tea.
Recently, I began a relationship with a Chinese lady and want to increase my knowledge of tea - for obvious reasons. I have also become familiar with a project in the southern part of the Yunnan province and pu-ehr tea specifically. The health benefits are of interest as well since I am diabetic (type 2) and have elevated cholesterol. (ok, and I am a bit overweight, too.)
I will probably post some questions after reviewing the posts and archives, doing some searches and so forth to minimize repetitive questions - don't you just detest that?
In that I am trying to move to China within the next 2-3 years, I would like to know how to comparatively evaluate Yunnan tea to other teas from nearby regions. I am not into the flavored teas, like mint, lemon, citrus, and so on. Just the true teas without all of the foo-foo.
Zaijian!
