Teabags at work

by shawndo » Feb 18th, '09, 16:43

I've recently changed to teabags for work. It's much less hassle than loose leaf. (Mainly the clean-up aspect)

What is the proper water ratio for these? I'm using the green pekoe teabags, and it seems like there is much more than just a teaspoon in there. Does it need 8oz or more of water?

It currently seems very concentrated, but maybe this is how it is supposed to be?

Do you know how much each bag weighs?

Unfortunately no. On the outside of the box, it says "2.6 oz/75 grams" for 15 bags, but it also says that for the Dragonwell bags. It seems like there are many more leaves in each of the Green Pekoe bags than the Dragonwell, so I don't know how accurate that is. It is consistently like this (I've gone through several boxes of each already)

Hmm, i just noticed this in the reviews:

"Green Pekoe is my normal green tea, so having it in a bag for trips is really nice. There are alot leaves in the bag, so brew it in at least 12oz of water."
