Hi,
Does Anyone have this teapot set?

If so, what do you think about it functionally and aesthetically? Any better options for affordable gyokuro sets?
Thanks

A very wise choice ...cherylopal wrote:I do!!! I do!!!
And I love love love it! It looks beautiful, feels beautiful to brew, and love drinking the yummy tea in the cups.
So ok, I love love the looks and love love the tea that I make in it- ocha and other.

Ok, no commission here but I do love it!

So what you are saying is that after trying it, you would recommend it to others?

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
I was playing with the hohin last night with some Hibiki-an Kuradashi Gyokuro Pinnacle and wasn't really impressed by the pour action going on there. It was a bit odd to be honest. I'm failing to find too much reason to use it over a kyusuChip wrote:I think it is a pretty sweet set! I also like the contempory white they have. Hard to decide.
I have seen lesser sets costing much more. It is the perfect size for gyokuro.
I had some very wise help in making this choiceChip wrote:A very wise choice ...cherylopal wrote:I do!!! I do!!!

I wish I had one on hand, or better yet "in hand" so I could check it out. Maybe it is just a bad fit for you ...Pentox wrote: I was playing with the hohin last night with some Hibiki-an Kuradashi Gyokuro Pinnacle and wasn't really impressed by the pour action going on there. He is referring to the white hohin, not the pot you are looking at.beachape wrote:Thanks for all of the replies.
Pentox, when you said it pours a little odd, what exactly do you mean? I was interested in it for the small size compared with a kyusu, but if it doesn't pour well then maybe I'd consider something else.

It is a beautiful color- the set from Ocha that I kinda like has two knubby knobs on either side that add to the feel when pouring and some grooves in the spout that aid pouring and dealing with the leaves. The infuser basket in the rishi one is not needed in the ocha teapot and is another reason that I like it.senchalover wrote:I have this pot and use it everyday. Its great for work.
