Japan, as always.
Hard to pick between Kaboku sencha, Kame Giru Shi gyokuro, Ujibashi san no ma sencha and Shin Shun Wakamatsu no mukashi Matcha.

Yunnan golden tips this morning.

I actually enjoyed some nice Chinese greens this month- a jasmine and one flavored with peppermint. Plus, I know I made a couple different pitchers of iced shu and China Black. All in all, a good month, even though my consumption was way down...

My favorite Tea of the month was probably a Dancong Oolong from Tea Habitat.
It has most definitely been an oolong month.

February was a month of sampling for me, so I didn't often brew the same tea more than once or twice. But one that I did continually return to was Adagio's Ali Shan. Delicate and positively enchanting.

Sencha Shinrikyu from ToT in my cup tonight/this morning. I know I'm still in the minor leagues in terms of quality, but this is the first sencha that has turned out really well for me. I'm definitely intrigued enough to continue exploring and move on to something better once this runs out.

Nothing overly "special" for me this month... But I would like to use my post today to show a bit of love for Hibiki-an's Sencha Superior and Fukamushi Superior. A recent thread over in the green tea forum has highlighted that this one's not to everybody's taste, but in my opinion both are beautifully fresh tasting first flush teas, not difficult to brew, and at between $26-$28 per 200g it's a great value sencha for everyday drinking.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Jack :D

EDIT: I've just realised how much my post reads like an advert! Oh well

I have enjoyed a lot of White Symphony this past month, but also Sencha Overture. On balance, it seems China wins once more.
Is there such a thing as a Japanese white?

My Dragon Well shipment finally came in. Oh sweet DW, how I have missed thee. Let's never be apart again, etc.

Not exactly a surprise that China wins again here in Woodstock, as Upton's Szechuan Zao Bei Jian Congu was my February winner, which was also my first cup of the day.

I did a big order at Upton this month and am pretty happy with just about everything I've gotten from them.

China, but not pu-erh... instead that green Monkey King (ah, Tai Ping Hou Kui, i think it was) was quite a nice surprise.

I can't tell, but I might be coming down with a bit of a cold. I'm slightly congested, and I slept 10.5 hours... so I'm going to attempt to finish off the pot of 2008 Hai Lang Star of Bulang that I started yesterday, but I'll have to see if I can actually taste it anymore...
