the middle has a concave depression in the element which does not make direct contact with the vessel placed on the burner.
put a 6inch pan, with 16oz water, boiled in 10 minutes - how fast is that?
dont really like the fact that a very hot thing is so close to my clumsy apendages
i guess i'll stick to looking for an electric kettle
