Hi,
I have 2 ingenuiTEA teapots. I have one for home and I loved it so much that I got another one for work. The problem is that the second one I got seems to have a problem. When I fill it up with water, the filter sometimes comes loose and my tea leaves end up in the valve, which then creates a few problems: the leaves get into my cup and sometimes I can't stop "pouring" the tea as the valve can't be closed properly with bits of leaves stuck in it.
I then ordered a new filter with my new batch of tea thinking that it was just an issue with the filter, but to this day, I have the problem where the filter starts to float up every few cups.
anyone has the same problem? How can I fix it?
Thanks for your help?
Yes. You need to rough up the sides of the filter. I think I used a steak knife - and I've used scissors. BE CAREFUL!!! But if you get the sides scuffed up, it will stay in.
Good luck!

Be aggressive! The more you scuff, the better it works.
You'll see.
