Does anybody have an online source for a bamboo dipper for Japanese tea? Any other suggestions for non-metal water dippers?
I'm thinking about going to a hot water method where I have a pot of water - kept at the right temperature, and a dipper, instead of the kettle and pouring.

Do you mean the hishaku? (That's the bamboo ladle which is used in Japanese tea ceremony.)
If so, there are several sellers on eBay. I bought one for home use from the eBay seller bambooimporter several years back, and it's worked out fine for me.
