Welcome everyone to TeaDay. Please stop by and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday most responders indicated their "new tea" was oolong or green. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's Teapoll and discussion topic. I have asked this already, but since we have a lot of new members, plus our answers change as well ... how much tea do you consume in a month, do the math?
I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone today. Bottoms up.

I came up with 360 grams, just about half of that in a single puerh session per day since I do that gong fu.
I managed to find some nicer looking dogwood flowers, but they are some new monster cultivar that produces abnormally large flowers. They are pictured here with Yutaka Midori, which recently bowled over Cinnabar Red with its awesomeness.

Very interesting question! I never calculated the amount of leaf I have monthly. Now I estimate it's about 10oz. I usually have 3 tea sessions on weekend days, including Friday. On weekdays, I sometimes don't have tea in a whole day, and sometimes have 1-2 tea session, if I can escape office early
My goal is to lower the amount and to concentrate more on each sip
I used to make oolong with 120-150ml teapots, and just recently shift my comfort zone to below 100ml. I used to think below 100ml was too small to handle. Recently I bought a 80ml teapot, which is my smallest so far. Will see if I could really expand my comfort zone to below 60ml - hum, maybe that will be too small to hold leaves!

My goal is to lower the amount and to concentrate more on each sip

Nice! I love the way the stem hides in the darkness, so the flowers seem as if they appear in the air from nowhere. And the shadow of flower in tea water is lovely! Dogwood flower in early March (and I remember you got some last month too!) - that's something we can't dream of in the north!Salsero wrote:I managed to find some nicer looking dogwood flowers, but they are some new monster cultivar that produces abnormally large flowers. 10 ounces/280g or less here, at least with what I figured with my quick and rough math. And just my personal usage, I didn't include leaf used for DH's morning cuppa.
Rainy blah day today. And I've already screwed up pretty good at work. Oh well. People don't need to actually get paid, right?
Something caramel/almond in my cup this morning... forgot the name.
