Good TeaDay everyone, welcome to our virtual TeaRoom. Please stop by and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Green TeaPartay in 2 days!
Yesterday, most responders indicated they had a "golden oldie" that was their fave tea brewing vessel. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaRoom poll and discussion topic gives us another opportuniTea to get to know a little something more about each other and take a little break from tea topics. (Eventually, put all these little tidbits together, and we will have a composite of everyone) Today, have a little fun with this one, OK, but no fabricating because you never know, we may all meet one day. What is your eye color and in order to give this a bit of a TeaTwist, is there any correlation to your favorite type of tea?
I am looking forward to "seeing" everyone in our TeaRoom today. All those in favor, say eye! Bottoms up ...

I've always wondered just how many mutants we have among us. This question should flush them out pretty well. I, of course, have normal eye color: blue. Though I tend to avoid blue tea, I do have quite a bit of blue teaware.
Tonight I had a very revealing 10-months-later session with the 2008 Xiaguan 8100 that Trioxin and I each bought a cake of and reviewed last year. I enjoyed it very much more this time than 10 months ago and am feeling quite happy about that experience.
My photo for the day, however, is some Fo Shou aka Buddha Hand oolong from Anxi County in central Fujian Province. If you sort of squint, you can see the drop of sunlight that comes in every cup.

A sensible precaution!Salsero wrote:Though I tend to avoid blue tea,
My eyes are brown, though I'm not sure I could claim they are pu-erh amber.... maybe if the pu-erh was an exceptionally dark brew.
Speaking of pu-erh, I'm going to finish off at mid 80s pu-erh that I got from Nada. I'm at the 10min infusion point, so I'm curious to see how it's still kicking. I'm not sure what I'll go for after that... maybe a green of some sort.
a very timely and appropriate green!
I broke the lid to my tokoname last night putting it away
I thought I might have read somewhere here about a way to repair the lid without using intensely chemically glue (not sure I want that flavoring my tea!)???
I will order another and I did get that $10 green starter pot from Dens to hold me but I loved loved my first kyusu. And I was using the Den's pot for the sakura sencha.

I got blue eyes, but there are different kinds of blue, so I have more of a blue/gray color. You can see a chart of human eye color here http://www.color-chart.org/color-charts ... -chart.jpg
Today is a very good day, I found a o-cha cardboard box pushed all they way to the back of my fridge today, it contained a fresh pack of Ujibashi San no Ma that I completely forgot that I bought. Having it now, very delicious, but I expect nothing less from Tsuen Tea.

Wow, I can't believe blue eyes are ahead so far. But it's early!
Mine are brown.
Hummm maybe like a very, very, dark wuyi that's been over
steeped ... probably no tea correlation. Now coffee;
I'm a nice Kona blend with no cream.
In my cup this morning: FF Darjeeling from Lupicia.
Have a nice day everyone!

I have green eyes!
Truly and properly green, not greenish-hazel or bluish. I have been told my eyes look like avacados....not sure what to make of that really. When I cry they are almost day-glo!! (red, making green stand out more)
Although I love green tea (well, ANY tea really), I am having a flavor/color theme for breakfast this morning that doesn't include green eggs or green tea (or avacados). I am having orange cranberry muffins with NMTC Orange Blossom Oolong! Delicioso!

My eyes are light golden-amber when I am happy and satiated, and black as night when I am "Thirsty".
Oh no, wait, that's a vampire thing from Twilight.
My natural eye color really is very dark brown, the color of ummmm... a heavily-brewed Irish Breakfast blend. But, because I am all girl, and realize that the only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize, I have some honey-colored contacts that lighten my eyes a bit and give me that vampirish look of contentment.
In my cup this morning, Adagio's Nepal First Flush, beginning to run dangerously low... must order soon. Earlier, I had a final infusion of the Gyokuro Imperial I was drinking yesterday, but after 4 or 5 infusions, it was pretty well spent. I am now officially out of gyokuro too. I foresee some serious ordering soon... tryng to wait for Spring arrivals.
