Hi to all at Tea Chat.
I came across this wonderful forum in my quest to learn more about chinese tea and Yixing Teapots.
I am interested in Oolong, Long Jin and Pu-erh tea at this moment.
Will be reading the many interesting topics and thread relating to tea and teaware here.

Welcome, that surprises me, I have just returned from KL where there are many many tea enthusiasts and hundreds of great tea shops and lots of tea enthusiast groups. These stem mainly from the Chinese community not the Malay or Indiann who prefer Teh Tarik. As Singapore is reputed to do everything better than Malaysia (and opted out of Malaysia because of it's large Chinese population) I would have expected a huge interest in Tea.swozt wrote: Probably not many Singaporeans on this forum. Dont think the tea culture in Singapore is that vibrant.

Yes, u are right, the Chinese Population in Singapore are mainly Chinese. However our nation is very young compared to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Many second and third generation Chinese are english educated and thus have lost a lot of "roots" with chinese culture. That probably also explains why the chinese tea drinking culture is not widespread.
However, I hope that tea appreciation will slowly gain popularity.
Cheers
