Has anyone used the tea cups from Xiu Xian Tea? Did you purchase the standard for the advanced and did you purchase the plastic or glass?
I would be interested in purchasing one of these but I'm notsure which. I would be using it for sencha at work.

Welcome to the forum! Please introduce yourself under introduction and share what is in your cup in TeaDay!TwinkleTea wrote:I'm sorry, I don't understand?![]()
I was answering a question. I just joined the forum because it looks like a nice home for tea lovers like myself. Did I do something wrong?
We unfortunately had a recurring problem with this particular vendor. My comments are not directed at you, only to those who would spam the forum with false testimonials for this company. Just heading it off at the pass ... sorry for the misunderstanding.
Again welcome, we are a fun bunch, just hate "spam."
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

The prospect of drinking anything from plastic, be it Tea, Coffee, Wine or Malt Whisky - I find EXTREMELY unappealing!
These cups seem to be intended for brewing as well, and after you have cleaned them a few times might a few abrasions here and them make them less than 100% hygienic or at least become tainted with the odours of previous brews ?

Best wishes from Cheshire
I did have that problem with one of the very first ones I had (it is about 6 years old now). I made the mistake of brewing sassafras tea in it! It didn't discolor, but it DOES smell like sassafras. FOREVER. I kept it, and that is the only thing I brew in it now.Herb_Master wrote:The prospect of drinking anything from plastic, be it Tea, Coffee, Wine or Malt Whisky - I find EXTREMELY unappealing!

I haven't had that problem with the newer ones, but then again, I don't brew any of my strong teas (like pu-erhs) in the acrylic ones, either. Only in the glass. I use the glass ones the most actually. Of the acrylics, I prefer the mug with the handle because the straight acrylic ones get pretty warm on the outside.
