Hi All,
I got an order of tins from Speciality Bottle today and I'd like to share what I've found out.
These little tins http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.as ... stom&ID=64 are quite nice. Nicely shaped with no seams to leak air and the lids fit nicely and have a seal inside them. The smaller one (same size as the popular Upton sample tin) is just right for samples or a bit of sencha or gyokuro. The larger one may hold 100 grams of sencha...I"m down to dribs and drabs of greens, so I can only guess. (The "8 oz" in the listing means it holds 8 fluid ounces.)
This tin http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.as ... ProdID=411 is listed as a tea tin, but I would not recommend it. The tin itself is very flimsy and does have a seam. The lid does not fit well (difficult to get on and off) and there is no seal in the lid.
Happy Friday,
Dreamer
