Sunday TeaDay 4/19/09 I want eposode 2, TEA?

by Chip » Apr 19th, '09, 01:06

Greetings and welcome everyone to TeaDay. Please come in and share what is in your cup today.

Yesterday many responders indicated interest currently in a new piece of teaware. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. I want, episode 2. So, is there a TEA that you are currently very very very interested in? If yes, please share details about this tea with us. If no, why not?

I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up!

Not really. There are indeed some teas I would like to taste (marukyu-koyamaen teas for instance) but I have already plenty of very good teas.

Yunnan golden needles this morning.

I voted "no" but that was before I remembered Pentox's famous Temomi Shincha about which I am quite excited ... then I thought about the ten or fifteen teas on my current shopping list. Then I thought about the twenty or thirty greens, dan congs, and puerhs that I have en route from abroad. That made me remember the Liu Bao that is among them that was the subject of the most magnificent hei cha review ever written ... presented to the world by Joyfulwoogie. Then I went into a deep funk thinking about how much more tea I have ordered than I will ever be able to drink in a single lifetime. So I guess my "no" vote was mostly wishful thinking.

*sigh*

Yes, most definitely - waiting for the spring Ali Shan harvest.
The only thing I may buy as far as the spring harvest.

Maybe... but I sated my desired for buying tea this weekend already by placing two big (for me) orders -- all pu'erh, and mostly older stuff. Give me another month or two and I'm sure I'll be hankering something else...

This morning, I'm going with some tai ping hou kui... and this afternoon, will shift to another Menghai.

I voted `Yes' because of my impulsive order of Zencha Shincha a couple of days ago.

Se Zhong Mao Xie TGY is now in my cup. I'll be finishing a bag of Pinnacle Sencha with lunch.

My tea I really really want is a sampler of the new Thai chai. I like lemongrass, but I adore chai and I adore coconut. It sounds amazing!

If your talking about a variety of tea, than yes. Puerh, I have been amazed by the stuff since I first tried it over a year ago, still amazes me everyday.

Most definitely... very interested in the upcoming shincha, and haven't ordered yet, but plan to do so soon. Also hoping for more good spring Darjeeling offerings, and later I'll restock on oolongs, which I am sadly low on.

Nepal First Flush from Adagio in my cup this morning... really nice, and this brew finished up my tin. I'm holding off on the reorder, hoping for some 2009... does Adagio ever put their last year's teas on sale when the new harvests are coming in? Inquiring minds want to know.

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

Since I am fairly new to good tea there is always new tea I would like to try. I have yet to try Yancha and other roasted oolongs, Dan Cong and Sheng pu-ehr, all of which I am very excited about. Then there is the new harvest; Chinese green, Taiwanese oolongs and Darjeeling.

Started the morning with Adagio Nepal FF. Now at work, I suddenly
feel the need for oolong.
