online, but the shipping to Germany is more than 20 $. Does anyone know where to get a tray like this from an European shop?

When a european shop buys one of these teatrays they usually pay shipping too, generally they are shipped cheaper by sea, but calculating comercial interest, the teatable will be more 20$ worth more expencieve, so I would recomend Yunnan sourcing, or dragon teahouse from ebay, or funalliance.com for tea trays, you can get nicer ones, and you may arrange SAL shipping or if you have the time to wait choose shipping by sea (although not recomended, no insurance for it to arrive safely).
