Hello all. My friend has a yixing pot especially dedicated to Dan Cong Mi Lan Xiang. He started to get funky taste (bitter and sour) out of this tea until he switched brewing vessel, so something's probably wrong with his yixing pot. Now I ask on his behalf: do you yixing-guys think this pot possible to save and if so, how?
Thanks! Beidao

Re: Please help my friend save his moldy (?) yixing
If you ring on the body of the pot and hear a low sound, it might be under fire. Under fired pot brewing Dan Cong or any perfumy tea might not be the best. IMO.Beidao wrote:Hello all. Perhaps boiling it for an hr or two and a fresh start? Hope this helps.
