Two more down... Keemum Concerto and Darjeeling #22

by Dresden » Apr 26th, '09, 05:22

The keemum really surprised me. From reviews I expected a strong tea. This was not the case. It wasn't weak but it wasn't overpowering either. I noticed a slightly smokey taste?

What really struck me was how smooth it went down. Very smooth with little to no astringency. I think that's what surprised me most.

As for the Darjeeling... After much anticipation I really wasn't impressed. It was ok but that was about it. Nothing really stood out to me. I may try some of the #1 or #2 for comparison in my next order.

If there are any DJ afficionados out there that can recommend a good one I'm all ears.

Cheers,
Mike

Be it good or bad, Darleeling Tea should have made a big impression on you. It is very different from other teas. I would try it again using 200 degree water and infuse it fir 3 minutes instead of five. It is a great afternoon tea.

The Keemum Concerto is a nice semi smokey Keemum. It is good anytime of day.

Keemun is by far my favorite. Tis nice to hear someone enjoy it.

Sad to say, I do dislike DJ's across the board. It's not everyones cup of tea. But thats the beauty of variety. Cheers!
