Greeting and welcome to TeaDay. Please share what is in your cup today.
Yesterday most responders tea tastes/preferences have changed over the past year. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. One third of 2009 has all but passed. On a negative side, what tea did you most assertively give a thumbs down? Or teas, or no teas? Please share some details with us.
I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Hrm, well I was given some herbal blend teas from Teavana, and I wasn't terribly fond of those. They were rooibos based with lots of stuff thrown in. Not terrible, but... "not my cup of tea."
Day 2 of my tea exile. Today I start a week of meetings. What sort of tea will they have there, if any....? I shudder at the possibilities.

Black tea - not such a big fan of it anymore.
Hi all,
Over the last year, I've come to the realisation that I cannot drink black teas anymore. I just find black teas send my heart racing and leaves me feeling awful afterwards. As for the taste, I find black teas indigestible, compared to a sweeter tasting sencha.
I can now only drink Japanese sencha/gyokuro or when I'm doing chado, I drink matcha. I find that the delicate flavour of sencha suits my palate much better, and doesn't give me a racing heart!

Do not fall over when I say this, but it was a Japanese green!
I know, pretty shocking coming from me, but not all Japanese greens are created equal. This particular one was a sample I received of an organic Gyokuro. Just could not brew it right to save my life. I have been drinking very satisfying organic sencha from this vendor, so I will call the organic gyokuro a work in progress or possibly an anomaly.
Began the TeaDay with shincha Magokoro from Yuuki-Cha.
