Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!
Welcome everyone to our TeaRoom, again. Please come in and share what is in your cup today.
Yesterday we discussed vacation plans. The top answer, staying home this year! You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaRoom poll and discussion topic. Following yesterday's off the tea topic, why not dream a little. What would your dream destination be for a vacation, and will tea figure into it? Please discuss.
I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone today! Bottoms up.

I would actually go back to a place I've been before- my favorite town in the world. Rudesheim, Germany. It's on the Rhine river, beautiful scenery, nice weather and friendly people- the majority of whom speak very good English since it's sort of a touristy town.
The last time I went, I had tea with breakfast most mornings. You had a choice between black or peppermint.

My dream destination right now is International - Italy.
Dreaming of getting back to my Art History roots and
the beauty that is Florence.
A visit to Rome to also visit perfumeries then a side trip
to Milan to have tea with Saretta would make
it all simply perfect.

I really don't know. Maybe Iceland (but I already visited it). In fact, as long as I am with the people I appreciate, the destination doesn't matter much.

I visited this town as I spent some weeks in Mainz. It is indeed a nice region of Germany.omegapd wrote:I would actually go back to a place I've been before- my favorite town in the world. Since we are talking dream I picked my ultimate dream vacation- a trip around the world! and no 80-day limit either- this would be a relaxed, where should we go next trip checking the weather, festivals, friends/relatives etc- I would love to revisit some places I've been too but mostly see places I haven't. and yes tea would be part of it.
So May would be perfect to start in Europe-

I went with a tea vacation -- that includes a nice long stay touring the various parts of Japan and China to see everything related to tea. Of course, such a thing would take the whole year!
I'm dreaming, right?
Well, I was going to wait to try out this 12 Gentlemen cooked pu'erh, but I broke down this morning and am giving it a go. It has a light biscuity-doughiness along with its earthiness, but not as much as the Menghai Da Yi Hong. Very tasty, glad I went with it this morning!

I love Andalucia and took Zaleha there last Autumn, where we visited Cordoba, Seville, Grazalema and my favourite boutique White Village, Vejer De La Frontera
The view from our bedroom terrace at Sunrise

In Grazalema it is just a short stroll into the hills above the town that takes your breath away

stepping on wild thyme releases boquets of fragrance, and the neigbours munching olive leaves

I picked bed and breakfast!
In the house of a Fujian TeaMaler at harvest time!
Dream vacation would be to travel around the Kyoto prefecture for about 1-2 months, visit the historical sites and temples, stay in Uji and have my daily cup of tea at Tsuen teashop. They say it is rain season there during the summer vacation, but I could not care less, I love the rain.
