Photos from the World Tea Expo

by tea-guy » May 13th, '09, 18:28

Sadly due to Expo rules I really couldn't take photos on the show floor due to the fiercely competitive nature of the industry, they were concerned with photos being taken of the marketing materials and new products on the market.

Alas, here's the culmination of my escapades out in Vegas.

FYI: Next year I'm going to make certain to get photos taken with everyone. I usually avoid being in front of the camera, but the exposure and the awesomeness of everyone at the expo has emboldened me! :-)

Thanks for the pics and for posting the review on your blog! Sounds like it was a lot of fun. I can only imagine how great it must have been to be surrounded by som many tea vednors and afficionados!

Thanks, tea-guy!

I have seen the Tea Tigers (2nd photo from the bottom) on a couple of websites and thought about getting one, but somehow talked myself out of it.

It's too bad that you weren't allowed to get pics of the "guts" of the convention!

I can only hope your imagination is extremely wild... because my experience was overwhelmingly fantastic! I've been to many expos and conventions for a myriad of industries and never... ever did I have one so much fun as this!

I agree! I can understand the fears and concerns of some of the exhibitors with unique products... but I think the publicity from the media and bloggers is well worth the risk. But then... I'm rather biased... ;-)

I'm glad you guys liked the shots and the first expo write-up.

Interesting ... last year I was snapping away all over the place. Sounds like paranoia to me.

The funniest photo was when I wanted to take a pic of a huge gold samovar, the German booth folks obliged but they ran for cover like they were Nazi war criminals.

Thanks for sharing with us, Chris!
