PersonaliTea

by jrking » May 29th, '09, 08:48

Hi all. First let me introduce myself. My name is Jamie and I have been drinking tea lightly for a few years now, but have recently begun to develop a bit of an obsession. My sister claims she is going to do an intervention on me!!!

Anyway, to my question. I purchased the PersonaliTea teapot and received it in the mail yesterday. It's great, but I'm curious that it has the little plastic thing on the end of the spout. I first thought it was just for protection during shipping, but I can't seem to remove it. Is this supposed to remain on the pot for some reason?

Please help an idiot out here!!!

Welcome Jamie!
That is just a spout protector against chipping the spout.
You should take it off to make your pot more visually pleasing.

You can certainly leave it on if you are prone to accidents.
Or wish to keep it on when storing.

It will come off with a little work.

:)

Hi Jamie,
I had to wiggle and slide very carefully to remove the protector from the spout. The PersonaliTea is a nice little teapot, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
And Welcome to TeaChat!

What he means to say is that we sure wont alleviate any tea addiction here. You have been warned, we'll probably make it much worse.

On that note welcome to the forum. :)
We were fated to pretend.

Thanks so much for the kind welcome and for not making me feel silly with my question. :D

I told my sister that I had joined a tea forum and she's really worried about me now!

She just doesn't get it.

That's the reason we are all here.
Because we are the only ones who get it.

I've had my PersonaliTea teapot for over a year and kept the spout protector on simply because I am a bit of a klutz. It is a good little pot, especially when making tea for two people.

On the side note, I get really weird looks from my family when I get all excited about tea. I got a good eye roll combined with the "do you really need more tea stuff?" look from my fiance the other day when I showed him my new tea cup. My tip to you is to share a nice cup of tea with your sister to show her how awesome it is. If you can give her even the slightest hint as to why tea is fantastic stuff, then maybe her tolerance level will increase.

lol I know what you mean about your sister not getting it.

I have my gf hooked on tea now...everyone else thinks I'm crazy.

I think people are more understanding of me being a lesbian than my tea obsession...

Funny you should mention that. She's actually been asking me about tea as much as she's been picking on me about it. So I'm going to give her my old ingenuiTEA and some some samplers and get her hooked too! Glad I kept those little tins from my first sampler set! Will come in handy for sending her some samples of my favorites.
