Good TeaDay everyone. Please come in and share what is in your cup today.
Yesterday, predictably green teas ran away with the poll as new harvest was in full swing. You can still vote vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Monday Madness, does this sound appropriate to your need or desire for more as the blue Monday begins? Do you consume more tea on Mondays typically than other days? Please share with us.
I am looking forward to sharing Monday Madness with everyone, bottoms up.

I think mine is about the same. I may actually drink more on the weekend because there just seems to be more time to devote to tea and to try new things like this ...
Yanagi …
...here all this time I thought he was a Greek singer, but it turns out to be Japanese green tea, a kind of bancha! Many thanks to Steve, Grand High Vizier of the Gainesville T'Buzz™, for the sample and to Olivierco for the secret brewing formula.

I drink about the same amount of tea on Monday as every day of the week. Like Salsero, I drink more tea on the weekend because I have more free time at home.
I enjoyed the tai ping hou kui so much that i decided to roll with it again this morning! I'll be switching to a 12 Gs puerh when I get home, though. . .

Good Monday morning everyone! I might drink more tea on Monday than other weekdays, but not consistantly or significantly. I think if this was a coffee forum, everyone would be drinking more coffee on Mondays?!?
Began the TD with Takumi shincha from Zencha. Really love this stuff. Highly recommend. SweeTea likes it too, however Pyrit, Wulong, TEAh and Ceylon thankfully were not interested in the tea ... just the company.

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
Perhaps yes. Not because I need the jump-start for the coming week, but because, quite unusually in our American society, I am almost always off work on Mondays. I work every Sunday for 12 to 24 hours on call, and then have Monday off (unless covering for someone's absence). I end up going in to the office some anyway because of the world's annoying habit of scheduling meetings on Mondays. But, in general, I am off on Mondays, doing domestic things, running errands, gardening, buying groceries, laundry, etc. Since I'm home much of the day, I may drink slightly more tea than on other weekdays.
This morning, Soom Estate FF Darjeeling '09 is in my new Monk's Cup from Matt (see the artisan section for pics). My yunomi family is growing!

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***
Explanation for the Monday Morning Blues
Excess consumption of stimulants on Monday morning has been shown to correspond to a pattern of abnormal sleep patterns over the week (too little during the work week, sleeping late to 'catch up' on weekends). Sleeping in late pushes back breakfast time on the weekend and can lengthen cortisol peak decay, delaying sleep hormone onset at night, and resulting in poor quality sleep Sunday night, leaving you tired on Monday morning.
Probably a more common pattern among the coffee-swilling crowd, given the proportionately smaller dose of caffeine in teas; it may explain the results of today's tea-poll.
Assam House Blend from SpecialTeas this morning. Lovely fragrance in the dry tea, with an unexpectedly floral and sweet taste, not all that malty if you keep to a 3-minute steep. Delightful and an exceptional bargain.
