Teapot for My Mom: Suggestions

by beachape » Jun 25th, '09, 23:32

My Mom's birthday is coming up and I'm thinking about buying a teapot for her. She's been drinking loose leaf with those disposable empty teabag things for a while.

If it was too complicated she probably wouldn't use it (hence the teabags), so probably machine washable, not easily breakable would be nice. Capacity about the size of a single mug (6-8oz?)

Adagio's ingenuitea looks like a good idea for her. Any other suggestions?

So are you looking for some like a teapot or more of an infuser. Because they have pretty durable teapots like Adagio's personaliTea. Other options would be to get an infuser/strainer like these these which could be placed in a single cup or in a teapot.

To be honest the ingenuiTea is still probably your best bet if your wanting
-smaller portions
-durable
-convenience
-its cheap too - 20 bucks for samples and infuser

btw I think adagio still does free gift wrapping

Thanks!

I decided to go for the ingenuitea. Got it on amazon for 5 bucks cheaper and free shipping.

I have the PersonaliTea and I LOVE it. When I want to do easy, no-brainer tea it is my goto teapot. It is SO easy to clean. And the price is certainly right :)

So, it gets my vote, too.

Good luck on finding just what you are looking for!

I like my IngenuiTeas and use them quite a bit, but the PersonaliTea is a lot cuter and just as easy to use. Unfortunately it doesn't come with samples, but you could choose a few to send also, since they aren't very expensive.

Either of these would be a great gift. I sent an IngenuiTea and samples to my daughter and she uses it all the time.

Another vote for ingenuitea... I'm a beginner tea drinker and it was very easy to use (although I'd order on amazon and direct her to the teavana website because there is a video on how to use it).
