Happy TeaDay everyone. Please come on in and share what is in your cup today.
Yesterday responders answered the question of how many TEA vendors they would guestimate using for the balance of 2009. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Finally it is warming up, soooo, if you are going to brew iced tea, what type would it most likely be? Please share specifics! Also if you want, share an iced tea additive you like ... if you have one.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

I don't have it too often (and I rarely make it myself), but I would choose iced black tea. I have enjoyed iced green tea from time to time as well, usually sencha.
I started a nice pot of Menghai Da Yi cooked pu'erh last night, and I'm enjoying a few more cups this morning. So nice. Makes me happy.

Iced Tea
I don't have it very often, as I am used to getting the most out of my Gong Fu style Oolongs whilst they are hot, I would be tempted to use up my less favoured leaves WITH additives!
Mint and Borage leaves come to mind (with little IceTea Cubes of Borage Flowers).
in my garden the Centaurea Macrocephala has burst open

Perhaps I will add Honey to my Iced Tea

I rarely make iced tea, once or twice I've put some less than fantastic greens in a glass of water and left it in the fridge for an hour or two. Just to use up the leaves mind you.
And of course no sugar or anything else added.
Today's first tea was some hastily prepared matcha before leaving for work. Right now I'm waiting for the first steep of my mini tuocha to cool a little.

I drink both hot and iced tea every day. So, whatever is in my hot cup in the morning usually also goes into my iced tea glass to carry to work. Most often, that will be Darjeeling... but also senchas and blacks very regularly.
I only sweeten flavored teas like some of my favorite signature blends.
Let me just say too... I am so excited that Darjeeling got its own category for a poll! My lobbying has finally paid off.
In my cup was some leftover houjikukicha from Den's... time for something new...

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***
