Help me to identified Pu...please

by Ridho28 » Jul 13th, '12, 06:19

Hi,

I buy this pu today, but honestly the main reason is because the price seem didn't break my wallet :o (sale), the shop owner must closed his store due shortage of buyer & can not afford uprising rent.

I am just new in puer (less then 1 month :D ),i am not familiar with pu erh brand or type. all i knew is this pu erh is raw because the shop owner guaranteed it ( i hope he is right).

Could you please help me to identified this Pu?
Thank you for your help.

It is purporting to be Yiwu from 100 year old trees. It looks like a decent large production, as opposed to a boutique one. What you see is what you get, nothing is being dressed up. If it tastes good, you are in luck.

The factory is there, but the characters are kind of artfully written and I am not very literate. I am sure someone else will be by shortly.

Ridho,

not to burst your bubble, but judging from the leaves it may likely be more plantation leaf rather than old tree. I doubt it's completely old tree, but It may have a little spread out in there. Welcome to the world of puerh!

Regards,

Bryan

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for your detail description.
for $6 each (i bought 3) i didn't expect to much.
I just curious about the region or date, since i can't read Chinese character on the cake.
The taste is bittersweet in palate and i can smell a little bit of wild flower, i think it is not to bad for everyday pu erh drinking, especially for newbie like me :D .

Regards,
Ridho
