I have never heard of it, and cannot google anything about it!

It sounds as though it could be a Dan Cong, but who knows what else it could be.

How did you come across it?

What do the leaves look like?

If they look (long), thin, dark and (twisted) try brewing it like you would a Dan Cong or Wuyi!
And report back!

People give me tea...I've had tea from all over the world... When the folks I work with travail or their spouses travail they always remind them to bring something back for jm.

I googled the names you listed and it looks like Wuyi, a touch lighter...a little more green.

I would ask the lady that gave it to me but I don't know who left it on my desk because everyone that brings me tea is on vacation.

I'm brewing it now...

I think Herb_Master may be onto something.

Single bush honey orchid dan cong doesn't sound too far from one leaf orchid tea. Which in my experience looks like wuyi but is usually lighter in colour.

Is there a hint of lychee in the tea? I've found it a common theme in dan cong.

So you tried it.. what's it like?

Dancong generally has longer thinner leaves than Wuyi yancha. The infusion is generally pretty light and very aromatic.

Wuyi yancha tends to be shorter, thicker leaf than Feng Huang Dancong. It typically has lots of both aroma and taste - ranging from light and floral to heavily roasted (you can taste the roast) and/or heavily oxidized (fruity, smokey, leathery aroma).

The name sounds like a Dancong, but unless someone has encountered that specific tea it will be impossible to say. Some pics of the dry leaf might help.

I finally tried it...it is light and aromatic, it's a light yellow and very, very tasty. Another lady I work with can read "Chinese" so I'll bring in a package for her on Monday to see what it is.

Her parents work on a tea plantation in China.

 Green with envy.
