Happy TeaDay to everyone! Please share your TeaHappiness with everyone ... share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed "do you have a new favorite tea compared to this time last year? General type or specific selection?" You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Yesterday it occurred to me after reading a few posts throughout the forum, is your fave tea for the new year also the tea you have most often? Please share!
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone!

Re: Wednesday TeaDay 1/12/10 Most often and most fave?
There are so many tea to try... why settle down and drink it so often
Something which taste good, but if taken too much... eventually it will taste normal.

Well said! I tend to save the favourites for special occasions so I don't get "tired" of them.auhckw wrote:There are so many tea to try... why settle down and drink it so often

I've had a very exciting tea-day already, for breakfast I had a new tea that my wife brought home from Indonesia, it is called "Traditional Green Indonesian Tea" or something like that, and is supposedly quite hand-made in a small village in western Java after traditional methods, including pan-roasting. So the colour of the leaves is actually brown and the tea tasted a little bit roasted oolong-like. I have not had a chance to try hojicha yet, but I suspect it is similar in looks and taste. A delicious surprise! Hopefully I can take some pictures later...
Then in the office I have already had matcha and kabusecha, and it is still just 9 AM

My taste varies so much day to day that I don't really have a favorite. I have favorites of a particular type of tea, but there isn't a tea that I can really pick as my favorite. I think today I've had about 10 different types of tea already and have loved them all.

Yes, in the broad sense. It is always Japanese green.....but the specific green varies.

My `fave' classes of teas are Japanese greens and oolong, primarily yancha and dancong, and I usually drink both of these every day. My faves that are `great teas' I drink very rarely and only when I have family or friends to share them with.
I also have `faves' among every collection of open teas and I spread them out so there is always something open that is exciting in some way. Ban Tian Yao from Jing and Shui Jin Gui from Seven Cups are the current faves among my open yancha.
Started the day again with Yame matcha Kasumi. Looks like I'll be clearing snow all day, so maybe some Keemun a little later.

I'm getting to where I can't respond to this thread because it sounds like I'm issuing press releases from the redundant office of redundancy.
Sencha.
You'll all be pleased to know that I redeemed my 50 yen gift card and have more on the way!

I do have Yunnan Golden Curls quite a bit. As much as I can afford to anyway.
But today I mixed equal parts Yunnan Noir and Ooooh Darjeeling for a hearty, sweet cuppa.

I have a couple of top-tier favorite oolongs, but like other people, I tend to save them to drink on special occasions, or at least when I'm paying attention. (i.e. not at work)
Today so far I had Xiu Xian's Misty Cloud green tea at home, and some Dragonwell at work. Guess I'm just in a green kinda mood today!

Re: Wednesday TeaDay 1/12/10 Most often and most fave?
Nope. Unfortunatly not because first of all I have way too much tea to drink over the winter already and second is that jingteashop has either raised its price on Shui jin gui or it is higher because its still priced as it was in 2010. I will keep hoping the price goes down before it sells out again.
Re: Wednesday TeaDay 1/12/10 Most often and most fave?
Not sure i have a #1 favorite tea, puerh and oolong are my favorite types and do tend to be the type that i drink most. I am still doing alot of experimenting with new/different teas and my "favorite" tea changes fairly frequently.
Currently drinking the last of OTTI tgy#2 while i wait on the ups man to get here with my rishi and special teas orders.

Hi TeaDay,
Some new toys have arrived today.
Today's tea setting takes inspiration from Taiwan and Japan.

My fave is probably still Puerh in the very broad sense. Although, I am drinking more Oolongs as of late. DHP in my cup today, thick & rich.
Trying to get back in the swing of things; the new semester is here, with it comes new classes. Dropped more teabucks than I would have liked on books this year.

Nice setup Brandon.
I've been leaning more towards greens sine the start of the year and as I've got a few greens open this will continue for a least another week.
