That does look incredibly mellow and dark for a green, seems like something I would enjoydebunix wrote:Nantou Spring Tips from Norbu. A Taiwanese green, mellow and tasty
Today some sakura matcha from yuuki shaken vigorously in a bottle of water at work. It has turned more nutty as time passes. I enjoy it very much, gets my head a tingling a little too.

And again with the Honyama sencha this afternoon. There have been other greens in between, but today feels very nostalgic, because I'm enjoying it in my first really nice teacup--my 'granite' yunomi from Ginkgo--and from my little glass teapot. Still quite delicious, even without the shiboridashi or kyusu.

Not yet in the new house, still need more walls, siding, shingles, counters, stove, cabinet.....etc. But soon.

Snow Dragon! Sweet and nutty and yet vegetal and slightly savory. Love it, doesn't get astringent or bitter on me.
Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
Gyokuro Shouen from O-Cha. The tea is good for the price but I think that I need to resign myself to having expensive tea tastes and stick to the higher priced gyos. I brewed it in my O-Cha gyo set which looks beautiful on my new Seong Il tea tray. I'll be posting photos just as soon as I learn to use my new camera.

Bienvenidos, Pablo!
We are happy to discuss tea with you regardless of minor language slip-ups. Today I'm enjoying Honyama sencha from Yuuki-cha--the last of my sencha supply.

Foraging through the drawer turned up an unopened pack of organic benefuki from Ito En that's years old (I can't even imagine what possessed me to buy it). I'm brewing 8 g/liter on the kitchen counter in room-temp water for 12 hours or so and then refrigerating overnight. Very floral! It puts me in mind of a Taiwan baozhong--no creamy mouthfeel so not so much like an oolong. I'm cutting it to 7g as it's a bit overpowering but it's a very interesting find.
