High in the mid-to-upper 90s - iced tea weather, I suppose.
Never drank much iced tea as a regular beverage in the past; really lost my taste for it when living in the deep South (ever present Sweet Tea was revolting).
Started with Yerba Java Mate for a change. Thought I'd try roasted kukicha mixed in with it, but its too much a muddying of somewhat similar flavors to suit. I'll keep the latter for an evening low caff treat, and go back to mixing the Medium Roast Java Mate with Vanilla Nut Java Mate (which doesn't taste a whit like coffee, blast it all).
Fine TKY in my cup earlier. Mint tea at present. Will be breaking open my Floating Leaves Oriental Beauty later on today.

Good MORNING!!!

There's COFFEE in that TEACUP! Danbo and Miss Kitty Poppet are distressed. Latte Poppet thinks it's about time somebody around here got with the program.
In other news, last night was the barkiest night of my life. Holy Cats! (or Dogs, as the case may be.)
TWO of our neighbors decided to hold massive fireworks displays. One right next door, and the other in the cul-de-sac immediately in front of our house. Murphy was BESIDE himself. He barked his brains out. I didn't get to see ANY of the illegal fireworks because I was inside trying to keep the little monster from blowing a gasket.
This morning, all was well until I decided to run the "clean" cycle on the oven. (I made apple tarts last night and we had some sugar syrup mishaps.) Now Murphy is going batsh*t trying to get away from the oven smell. Sunny is, was, and as usual, a perfect little angel. A quiet and happy angel.
Tomorrow, my brother is coming over with a pickup so we can take a stab at being responsible homeowners, and haul away things like old flower pots, fallen limbs from the winter's storms, and the giant 12' tall rose "bush" I chopped down yesterday. We're having our house painted in a few weeks, (we've already done new gutters, roof and windows,) and if I can finish getting the front yard landscaped, our neighbors will no longer be able to point at our house and call it "THAT house in the neighborhood."
I think I'm going to need lots of tea.

It should be about even for me today with hot tea probably taking the lead as the evening wears on.
My parents and the dogs just got home from their week "vacation" helping my grandmother clean and fix her house. My cat is currently cowering in my room since the dogs have returned to torment her. I ended up putting a baby-gate at the end of the hallway to make a dog free zone for her. Hopefully it will help since she had this entire week to roam the house unhindered without being barked at or chased.
I just finished a glass of iced tea and will probably have another with dinner, but will switch to something hot and not caffeinated afterward.

Mostly hot tea today, although I did have some iced tea with lunch at the local deli. This afternoon I've been drinking some new Darjeelings that I just got in from Tea Emporium, including the infamously fabulous Castleton Moonlight. I'm glad to finally know what all the fuss is about. That is truly some excellent tea! Very rich--maybe a hint of vanilla.
On the pet and fireworks front: last night proved once and for all that my 16-year-old cat is going deaf. He wasn't bothered at all.
