Thanks JayB - I'm aware of this, and have been in the habit of label-reading for some time now. Not to mention putting food servers through the "spanish inquisition", much to the dismay of my sweety.
I'm also not supposed to have soy, unless fermented. No tofu (often in miso), and I'm aware that wheat is pretty much in all shoyu/soy sauce unless stated otherwise (only one available without it that I've seen at stores).
Also, tempura batter has wheat etc.
Also lots of sugar used.
etc, etc.
bubble not burst, that happened a while ago.
Thanks for the heads up tho!

I missed your reply the other day. The Mariage Freres website is very difficult to navigate, but it does seem most things called Marco Polo are blends. Since it is Japanese it may be green tea with flowers and/or fruit.
I'm interested to hear how it is as well as what it is!
Victoria, I had my Marco Polo late in the afternoon. It was a black tea; didn't seem to have much flowers and/or fruit. Drank first cup sans milk. Had slight "bite" at the end. Added just a bit of milk to second cup; much smoother. For me, it would be a good tea to have with breakfast.
As far as I can find out, they have a Marco Polo blend with flowers/fruit in black, red, and green tea.

Yeah, it sounds like the Classic Black the "most famous secret" "mysterious blend" one.

Well tame it and enjoy it for breakfast then!
