lol Amusing, but I assure you that's not the case. I suffer no delusion that plants feel pain... besides, if this were troubling me, I would have asked BEFORE drinking all the many cups of tea I have had in my life.

Aside from your rather bizarre friend, you can tell her that most teas, except maybe flavored ones, do not harm plants in any way, shape or form (that I know of anyway).

Yeah, but they do kill a bunch of insects, and weeds in the process.

Even organic's kill weeds. You can just pick them out of the ground to kill them. Not to mention the farmer walking in the fields trampling hundreds of plants, insects, and bacteria with his feet.

I commend your friend for her love for the planet
World would be a much better place if there were more like her

Tell your friend to not let others drag her down with all their philosophical innuendo and disdain for ideas they themselves do not share

Her trying is very impressive esp in these times

Quoted for truth. QFT. Being restricted to only fruits and nuts is absolutely not healthy. It is very easy to be healthy as a vegetarian eating only fruits, nuts, legumes, and vegetables, perhaps eggs and dairy as well, but that sort of extreme diet is going to be hurtful to her long term health.

Especially need to be concerned with women of reproductive age. Easy to get deficient on many vitamins, and could be harmful to potential pregnancies.

A good vegetarian diet is certainly much better than your traditional american deep fried meat diet. However a misguided vegetarian may be doing more harm than good to their bodies.

Personally I'm going to stick with my chocolate dipped bacon. Rich in vitamin fat.
