Well ... probably too many!

My love for reading/books had been the catalyst for taking a part-time job at a book store, need I say more! I am somewhat easily swayed when it comes to books, I too often get a case of the 'I must haves' when a see a book whose subject is of common interest to Chip and me.

Chip will give the estimated total as most of the TeaRelated books were gifts to him.

Currently sipping on LiShan from TeafromTaiwan, delicious mid-morning tea after our mystery sencha this morning!

i've somewhere roundabouts 10 books on or relating to tea. most tend towards the informative, however okakura kakuzo's The Book of Tea is a classic on Japanese culture and aesthetics as related to tea.

there's another i read about a Japanese monk who influenced the development of sencha in japan - steeped leaf - from its origins in chinese brick tea.

Artmom: I just got a Kindle (secondhand from a friend) and I LOVE it! One of the best toys I've ever bought.

Another Kindle fan! I heard Jeff Bezos talking on Charlie Rose the night he had launched Kindle and even though it had already sold out that day, I ordered it--so I was one of the early adopters! It is absolutely the best electronic item I have ever had, and my hubby is usually ahead of the curve on electronic purchases

I downloaded For All The Tea In China free sample chapters and loved it--but refuse to pay more than $9.99 for ANY Kindle book -- brand new or not!!!! I've forgotten what TeaChat member recommended the book.

I have 5. Currently reading Liquid Jade.

English breakfast in my cup this morning that was served at my hotel in Singapore. Liked it so much. Found out it was from Qi Botanical Tea.

Singapore, just saw a documentary on Singapore. Quite interesting. However, if I was sitting in a hotel in Singapore, would I be sipping English Breakfast? Likely not.

Well, books on tea ... mostly gifts from Mrs. Chip. This is hard because many are not tea books, but books on China for instance that have a section devoted to tea and tea mentioned throughout perhaps. Then others dedicated to tea, then others dedicated to teaware. All told, likely approaching 20.

Then lots of others that were likely precipitated by interest in tea ...

Began the TD with mystery sencha from Ryu Mei ... this is all but gone, what then????? SweeTea savored hers while Pyrit and Gandalf were visitors to the TeaTable.

Next up, a tasting of Adagio's new "M" series Ti Kuan Yin. This is a very green version, refreshing, light, sweet, devoid of bitterness. Very good. I understand the M series will be available tomorrow.

Ugh, been fighting off yet another cold for the past few days. Wuyi Ensemble in my cup to accompany a spicy hot, garlicky, gingery lunch.

Had some bagged, not-quite-powder white tea this morning... with as much variety in specialty coffee as they have around here, they no nothing about tea. 6 varieties, not including decaf. *sigh* and nary a water heater in sight, even though I brought my ingenuiTEA and a couple sample tins... darn!

I have a copy of Okakura's Book of Tea actually in my tea box with all my teas... Other than that, I mostly read things online, but I would love to get my hands on more tea books; I'm a complete bibiliophile.

Started out with several cups of pu-erh, and I'm now waiting for one of my roommates to vacate the bathroom so I can refill my water heater and make Thai tea (really, hair doesn't need to be groomed for an hour and a half ). Later will probably be rooibos.

Less than 5, not counting two tea party cookbooks (got inspired once to throw proper English tea parties after a trip to UK).
Started the day with Handmade Nilgiri, finishing with houujicha...

10 books on Pu-Erh (all in Chinese). Highly recommend this one (however, difficult to find one nowadays).
