But then that's when you can give an official moderator "warning" about breaking the "rules."

edit: YAY! I START A NEW PAGE!

It would also be really nice if we could get rid of anon messages in the chatroom. I think I've only ever seen a few genuine questions asked by anon users, the rest have been trolls.

Scruff makes a good point. It seems there are times when regular users just forget to sign in. I know, easy fix. Just sign in.

But I think it is more important that Tea Chat remians an accesible and inviting environment for newbies, rather than trying to eliminate those that are annoying as much as possible.

I agree Space, but if someone has a serious question, I believe they'll be willing to go through a short registration process. I, for one, enjoy the newbies, just not the typical "anons."

Do you remember the 90's?

...I doubt if anons will not be permitted to chat. I just do not see that happening. Unless perhaps complete anarchy occurred.

I think Adagio views this as an integral part of introducing newbies to the forum and more importantly, Adagio.

I enjoy the anons, even when they're at their most outrageous. Mostly we just ignore them and they don't seem to be so many that it really interrupts the flow of a good conversation.

Also, a few (very few) anons seem to be just a bit shy but have a real question or comment.

Finally, if there were no anons, I'd miss all EO's magnificent insults he thrusts at them! They seem to be a real springboard for some of his grandest creative moments.
