I've been firing away this summer and have not had much time to photograph and list new work, so I have my work cut out for me. I wanted to share an example of the direction my shino work is moving. I'm thinking of this work as the NextGen. My shino is SOOO finicky that I have up until recently been unable to incorporate much layering of other glazes. I've finally figure out the nuance of it though and I'm going for it. It's breathed new life into my process and I'm excited again!!

Thanks for checking my work out, and for all of you who post comments and action shots. I really do appreciate it!!
Beautiful Shawn!

Hi Everyone
This past weekend I fired my woodkiln for the last time this season. I concentrated on making some accessory type pieces this firing. I saw a need to make lids and saucers for my cups, I made some tea boats and even tried my hand at some Mizusashi, etc.
I'll be posting a lot of new works over the next week or so, but here's a few examples for now

Now through Cyber Monday take 10% off using coupon code
TEACHAT10 at checkout.
One of the nice things about these is that the lids and saucers are pretty universal and can be used with any similar sized cup. The lids are especially handy

These tea boats are super straight-forward, practical and functional

and of course, more SHINO!!....

....I'm obsessed

I’m doing some spring cleaning in the studio and will be offering a 20% discount on all purchases over $100 until the end of the weekend 4/16. I should be going through work and adding a few new pieces per day. Thanks!
