Here's an example of a rather new form for me. I wanted simple straight lines with these. There are no visible throw lines and even the dimple on the interior is very smoothly delineated. I trimmed the foot completely flat simply because I liked the way it feels in the hand better.

This piece has been kissed by the wood kiln gods. Lots of really nice flashing on the bare clay, and the glaze interacts with the fly ash in the kiln really well, creating nice yummy drips. Some additional views and details can be seem here http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?li ... d=37717508&

I'm having problems uploading photos on here. I would just like to have the pics appear in full on the post and not in a separate box where you have to use the sidebars to scroll the image. Please help!!...lol It's probably really simple I just can't seem to figure it out.

Also ... I answered your question in Teaware. However readers can also simply right click your above photos and they are then full size and no need to scroll.

Some members do use the attachment feature which relies on TeaChat to store your photos. Should TeaChat fail at some point, your photos here could be lost.

If you use a photo host site like Photobucket, you are in a bit more control. The downside is you have to never move or rename your photo in photobucket once posted on the forum or there will be a notice that the photo is no longer available to TeaChat in your post where the photo once was.

I prefer the photo host site option like photobucket ...

There is probably a resolution size where that won't happen, but I don't know what it is. Most folks who post here regularly use either Photobucket or Flickr account.

Here's an example of a style of work I'm looking forward to revisiting one of these days. This piece was initially thrown (with iron rich stoneware) as a thickish cylinder form. The walls were faceted with a wire and then brushed with porcelain slip. I use a tool similar to a comb that's made of sewing needles set into a wine cork to slice the individual faceted sections in two separate directions, once horizontally and again diagonally. After all that I begin expanding the cylinder into a bowl form using a rib on the interior, being careful not to touch the exterior. This creates the interesting texture when the clay stretches and expands, revealing the darker claybody beneath the porcelain. I used a simple white shino to line the interior while the exterior was left bare clay. It's then fired in the anagama giving both glaze and bare clay some nice variation from the fly ash and atmosphere.
