Can't see anything. Must have been the wind.

It was a bit odd posting to the 'Proinsias for ITD' thread, I'm blaming it on using an rss feed Instead of logging into the site.Chip wrote:Heh, Proinsias got in by default, in fact, we did not even know he was in ITD for around a year, in fact, neither did he come to think of it.

Well she did get an avatar - a nice one at that
- and, I don't know about you guys but I think it's worked. Every once in a while now I stumble on an old post in response to one of her posts and get embarrased that I've replied to her posts a number of times without noticing her.
I can sometimes be one of those people that gets taken for granted because I do what I do well enough that things go smoothly and I end up being overlooked until I'm gone. So I would really like to bring her up again as a candidate.
If you haven't noticed her yet, you might go look through some of her posts. She's really passionate about tea, she knows a lot (maybe being from China helps) but still has the enthusiasm of a newbie, and she does a lot to encourage people to try different teas and experiment with things like brewing. When someone brings up something new, she's been among the first to try it and report back. Overall she's really friendly, passionate, knowledgeable, and contributes a lot to the forum in an unimposing way. If that isn't the definition of a candidate, I don't know what is
The only thing that I think keeps her from being noticed more is just that she doesn't go into the chat, but in my opinion that may be more of a good thing than a bad one

Just a note, Gingko has a shop on eBay called Gingko Bay:
http://stores.ebay.com/Gingko-Bay-Tea-Things
She links to it from the Tea Links section on her blog, and also from her blog profile.
I trust that this isn't an obstacle to Gingko's joining ITD. In fact, I'm impressed because she's clearly a tea enthusiast first and foremost. Actually I was surprised to discover the shop, because I don't think she's even mentioned it. So refreshing!

Interesting, I had no idea! She's as excited as the rest of us to find new vendors; in fact she and I will be trading samples from tea bought from zen8tea.
I've actually thought about doing the same. It looks like she sells mostly basic teaware, with just a few teas. But yeah, if she was spamming then I wouldn't have brought it up, but she's more an enthusiast than anything it seems.
