Oh my. I think I got mine today. I'm not quite sure though. At first I thought that it may be a vendor sample or something.

I mean the envelopes are sealed and embossed!

Well, I know for a fact that the tea counts at least a little for you! So the packaging can't be everything.

Photo, please, Pentox.

Wow, there must be some sort of award or prize or honor we can bestow for most amazing packaging! With packaging that thrilling, imagine what the tea is like.

What next ... please start an official tasting topic. Include the month and what the tea is in the subject. You can include your suggestions for brewing as well in your post. I will sticky it for a few months as we taste this offering and comment.
I will start a tasting topic once everyone got there goodies. Thanks Chip.

Got mine this morning, thanks Tim!

I've not had any good quality sheng for a month or so, I'll dig into some of the 12 gentleman and other offerings from Nada I've been meaning to get around to to try and prepare my palate.

Mine arrived today along with 2 Japanese tins we had spoken about months ago.

When I opened the box with the tins, I wondered, "why did I want these?" They are completely generic/plain by Japanese canister standards, monochromatic, one a soft lavender color, the other an interesting green. They are nicely double lidded. No real designs, just kanji for tea and something else ...

... and then I saw the Japanglish and remembered. This is classic. A Japanese tea company would go to the expense of having these tins made and printed (not a sticker/label) with the most distinguishing graphic design/marking in English ... well, Japanglish.
The preservation method of shincha
it puts into a can and keeps in a
refrigerator.Since shincha tends to
the smell of other things,
let's make it not keep it together with
food,spices,etc.with a strong smell,
although of a scent is good.
I had to have them. Thanks Tim.

LOL, the wording reminds me of the scene in Silence of the Lambs when Buffalo Bill had the girl in the pit and non personally told her ...

"It rubs the lotion on its skin.
It does this whenever it is told.
It rubs the lotion on its skin
or else it gets the hose again.
Now it places the lotion in the basket.
Put the *freak* ing lotion in the basket!"

Brandon beats me to start a sticky : )

Kindly let me know if all of you on the list got the samples. Then we will begin the tasting? I dropped some of my own preference on brewing it in the sticky, but everyone should cater to their own taste.... just for reference only. Enjoy. T
