Well, it's not proven, but i have made my own observations regarding this when it comes to taste, and also the water sometimes being insanely hot

Microwaved water cools down very quickly. if you like to drink your tea like a shot of whisky its fine but if you want to enjoy it you end up with half a cup of cold tea.
btw the water heater in the previous link works great.
I have already converted my boss from her coffee in the morning to twinnings earl grey bagged tea.
I also sent her home with a couple to loose samples and some instructions.
She is liking the loose bravo and lemon grass so far the only ones she has tried out of the samples.
