I know, I feel lost without it. I know by eye how much leaf/water to use in each of my teapots to fill that mug, too!
That's another lovely cup, Geek! Do you have a special "teaware room" in your house?

I know exactly what you mean by
this. And when this is suddenly lost, my personal rhythm in brewing is lost.
I think you NEED a HAGI to help heal your loss.

Ha! I wish! No, most of my teaware is displayed in my little home office/den. The cups, pots and bowls jockey for shelf space with books, cameras and poppets. It's cozy in here.

Japanese for me today. My favorite Tokoname pot and a Deishi Hagi cup.
Of course my tea, that's another story. Shockingly I admit to cross brewing.
2009 Spring DaYuLing in my cup currently.
Geek - Nice shot of the blue Hagi, you captured the
essence of the flowing glaze.

Posting is a little behind, thanks to working all weekend
Saturday and Sunday were dominated my my trusty Chinese Tea Thermos and an everyday green.
http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=10582
The nights though, were dominated by pu. Specifically 2008 Menghai V93 Premium Ripe Pu-erh. I love it. (Thanks for the great review Sal which pointed me their way!)

To brew I used my trusty (and recently chipped

) gaiwan.
