I don't know man, have you ever tried the Egyptian cloths? Higher thread count, and faster drying.

You funny dude.

I chose yes, but that's not entirely true, it depends on the pot. For my Zhuni and higher fired zisha pots I polish, but I don't with the others too much.

I've been curious about this...
I do polish, but I only use my hands and glide them over the surface of the pot. It has a ok shine to it, only after one year of pretty solid use. Do you guys think that cloths are better?

I love to polish my yixing, at least some of them...
Left is before, and right is careful "Feed&Care" after 2 years.

I used to polish my yixing pot, too, in the past when I had time. To avoid uneven patina, any remaining liquid on the teapot must be brushed while the teapot's hot during tea session. For polishing, I simply used cotton cloth.
Result depends on the teapot clay as well as the liquid used to rinse the teapot surface. My experience: Ripe puerh yield fastest result.

I like the before and after shot Tim! You inspired me...
Less than one year of care! I guess high fire TGY brewed kung fu style works pretty good for patina.
