I got dragged onto facebook by a friend who adored the site. I mostly use it to keep track of people, especially my cousins, and to leave or send messages if I can't contact people with other methods. I haven't figured out the whole chat or games or the different applications for it beyond the poke function, but it works well enough to keep in touch with people.

I thought you may have been joking because you could substitute Facebook for TeaChat and many would pose the same question to People on this forum. Guess I just find your statement ironic.Salsero wrote:Probably just being old. I don't do facetious.Tea Noob wrote: Being facetious?
Many charities use it as a source of fund raising too. It is a way to get your cause exposure. I don't spend a ton of time on it but I have been able to invite my friends to a cause I spend a lot of time on. Maybe someone will give a few bucks to them, only one way to find out, ask.
I know one thing, many people would appreciate some of your photos showing up on their page. Imagine what you could do with our Hounds!

The other day a colleague took some pictures of our meeting, and then told us, "I will put them on Facebook, but I promise you I won't put them on Myspace." I felt I was so out of date that I didn't get what she meant
I guess, Facebook is more mature and professional?

By sitting in peace and doing nothing,
You make your one day worth two days.

Id say thats about right, myspace seems to be more for middle school and high school kids.gingko wrote:The other day a colleague took some pictures of our meeting, and then told us, "I will put them on Facebook, but I promise you I won't put them on Myspace." Sal,
That link just took me to your profile... so I friend-requested you... but I also couldn't find Tea Chat in the search... lots of tea groups,. but none seemed to match our little group here. I'm gonna look again.

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***
I think it might be harder to search for because here it's TeaChat, but on Facebook it's Tea Chat (two words). Maybe it should be changed to match the correct name?
I also think it would be nice for everyone to post their TeaChat name on the wall so we can connect TeaChat names and real names. Some people have, but lots haven't.

I was the same way, Kitty! I SWORE I would never FB or MS, ever. Then, they tore my old dorm down and it's a big hole in the ground. It was a small, tight-knit group and someone started a FB group.Cinnamon Kitty wrote:I got dragged onto facebook by a friend who adored the site. Then, I found a bunch of relatives on FB and now I feel stupid! I guess there's no reason why I couldn't call them . . .
Dang I'm getting OLD!

Just joined the group! Also, noticed on the similar groups thing that only one was about tea, clicked it,and it was a group for teatulia, mentioned something about e-mailing them for a free sample. Didn't see anything about this on their website, but decided to give it a shot.

(not wanting to steal thunder from our group, but thought people might want to try this offer while they happen to be near it, heh)
