It was a deliberate decision a few years ago to make drinking a cup of tea first thing (almost first thing) a part of my morning routine/habit/ritual. Even so, the first cup is not the one I crave "the mostest". That would be the mid-afternoon gotta-have-it-to-survive-the-day cup/pot.

I do not have a crave for the first cup. Honestly I enjoy it equally all day long...so the crave is the same.

If I crave tea at all it's later in the day when it happens.

I voted `maybe not'. After I kicked the coffee habit I craved morning caffeine for a few months, but I'm beyond that now. If I crave tea at any time of the day it's afternoon tea. That's when I have Japanese greens, which, I believe, are the ``crack'' of the tea world.

Upton's Spring Dragon this morning, and O-Cha's YM shincha this afternoon.
I'll be out of town for the next week so I'll be bringing bags of Adagio TGY, Sugimoto sencha, and Maiko asamiya benifuki powdered tea. The benifuki tastes really strange but it grows on you.

That's one of my craving times, too, but it's so hard to drink something non-caffeinated then!

Just back from seeing Star Trek with DH, so am I the last person on the earth to see it?? It was fabulouis by the way. DH and I are big fans, but he hates crowds so
we waited till the rush of last weekend was over. If it was up to me I would have seen it opening night, standing in line and all! It was FABULOUS! I'm a big Heroes fan so of course I thought Spock was just excellent!! We also had a nice lunch so I'm a bit wired up on two refills of Iced tea.

It wasn't a traditional star trek movie, but thats ok because it was most excellent.

"Er, yes. With milk."

"Well, in a manner of speaking I suppose ..."

Wow, we finally agree.
But it was a prequel.

I haven't seen it yet, but now I guess I must! I love your enthusiasm... makes me feel more normal for attending 2 Harry Potter conventions last year, and planning this year's vacation around the release of the new movie. I will be there at midnight on opening night, as I have been for past 3. Life is too short not to be passionate about a few things you really love.

Now to answer the poll...

I definitely crave in the morning, but I am pretty sure my craving in the early evening is greater. I drink tea all day, hot and cold... but that evening tea, after I get home from work and am ready to unwind... that's the one I think about all day... usually a different tea every day, but in this case I think I am craving the experience itself, not a particular tea or caffeine kick.

I got the Oolong Box today... much smaller than when it left me last time, but still packed with goodness. I'm having some Iron Goddess Monkey-Picked, mmmmm. A great change of pace after lots of shincha and FF darjeeling these past couple of weeks.... so amazingly delicious!
