The first one is the same as - or very similar to - one I got from them at their former B&M store.

I've read a couple favorable reviews (one from Wesli here) on pots from Rishi. It's good quality clay and from a reputable source. It's also a great shape for puerh and wuyi tea.

That's a good looking pot, but I think it is more - when you add on shipping - than shogun89 wants to spend. However, it may be worth a few emails with Rishi. Anyone have that one? I would be interested to know more about how it looks, the clay and how it brews.

I am starting to think that if I want quality I am going to have to bite the bullet. I have always loved this pot and may just purchase the darn thing, or this one. Scott has offered the first one to me for $37 shipped SAL.

I am very much tempted by this too!

even though they are not the size I want.
I also notice some cup they have. I have two same cups bought in China. Their price (including shipping) is less than twice as much as I paid. Consider it's international trade and items shipped to door, the price is not bad at all - assuming the quality is the same (it looks pretty much same thing from photos).

Ah! I have just noticed the gong fu section, reminded by scruffmcgruff. I really like their sizes. But like t4texas said, it may not be safe to buy cheap ones. I've seen some cheap yixing-claimed-to-be in a store in Toronto. They are so cheap in terms of price. But I was amazed someone would even bother to make such low-quality things

It's pretty well known that the pot for sale on YSLLC is being falsely advertised as made of zhuni clay. I really can't support that kind of business practice. Just my two cents.

i've got the second pot you mentioned:

i think it's nice enough. nice shape. whether it's real zhu ni or not doesn't concern me too much. it's good quality whatever. i use it for my cooked puerh.

Coincidently, while you are looking for smaller, I'm looking for bigger - for work that is. The one I have now is so tiny as evidenced in the "at work" thread, and I really need a functioning drain. I was looking at this one:

Do you want one that drains into an external bucket? If so, you should get one that doesn't have a pan at all - just a drain hose hook-up.

I think the Dragon Tea House ones are the same brand as the In Pursuit of Tea brand ones, and are like $44, though shipping might be high. Since you're in California, you might stop by Wing Hop Fung and see if you like any of theirs. They have a number of the drain-only type ones... most are very large and somewhat.... well I guess ornate is the kindest way to put it.

yeah that 'in pursuit' tray looks nice victoria.
i'm liking the wenge wood on the one i mentioned. think white porcelain will look really good on it. it's a pretty good medium sized one too. some of the small bamboo ones with no tray or drainage tube are just too tiny. i like a bit of room to make a mess

i think the dragon tea house one is a slightly smaller version of the one from Le Palais des Thés
