Drinking a free sample of top grade old tree shui xian yan cha spring 2006 from Teamasters. Now I have something I can use for reference, when buying other yan chas in the future. Most of of the postings and tea brewing here are done at work from what I can see, I should be so lucky I have to wait till after work. :x

Oy!! I'm still shaking even though the ground stopped.
It was very strong and long.

Pretty scary stuff! I was under the desk!

5.8 magnitude - the phone lines are down

Near 6.0 quake and the first thing she does is report it in TeaChat. She scooped the news services. Now that's a devoted TeaChatter!

Whoa. Bet that knocked thoughts of teapots out of your head for a few minutes, eh? I'm glad you're okay. I hope all is safe and sound there.

I'd like to wish you the same, Victoria!

Chip, it seem like a fukamushi to me. It is a makinohara sencha. It has nice sweet complex notes: fava bean, apricots and i swear when it cooled it was like lychee!

Thanks everyone for the pic encouragement. :)

Very nice pics today! Sal, I want those lilies. They're gorgeous. Cyn, Cool pic! Make sure it's not your last attempt. Geekgirl, I especially like your saucer.

Could his new cold have anything to do w/you leaving Thurs? Honey, you can't leave me. I'm sick.

The tearoom that's near me is only open from 11:00-3:00 so she can get her kids off to school & be home when they arrive. But you're like me & it's a while before the youngest one is ready for school...

Or thoughts of knocked teapots! Glad you're okay, Victoria. Hope the same for others in your area.

Right now I'm drinking some TGY that I re-roasted this morning. I think I'm getting a feel for it.

I have a growing bamboo problem. I can't seem to stop buying things made out of bamboo.

And this isn't everything; there are things throughout the house that I forgot to add. What's wrong with me? I have a bamboo rolling pin. I don't bake. WTF?

I dunno Space, but it's GORGEOUS. I think it is the color of the wood and the gain and the overall smoothness. Growing up with a bunch of dark wood everywhere, it's a breath of fresh air to me.

Two smaller aftershocks so far, a little unnerving.

I'm on my second pot of Ice Oolong.

My parents returned from vacation to find $700 cash missing and $everal hundred charged to their company credit card. And one certain employee who has not shown up since! They'll have to closely monitor their cards forever. . . :(

I'll just enjoy my tea & collect my paycheck, workin' for the man.

You need a bamboo addicts support group, SS.
Just when I though I had seen everything, I purchased some bamboo quilt batting last week.
