Yep, Chip inspired me to get it. It really is a diminutive and lovely piece: http://www.hankooktea.com/toin-ceramic- ... -clay.html Hankook posts horrible photos of their stuff, but much of it really is great.Chip wrote:Hankook, it is Korean. I have it as well, great little piece.shogun89 wrote:After averaging I'm around 5ish. Say, Salsero, where did you get that beautiful brewing vessel?

Oops, I accidentally picked 2 steeps...that's really my minimum. I do two for blacks (sometimes 3) and at least 3 or 4 for greens and more than that for oolongs.
Tea today: my everyday Ceylon this morning and Den's Fuki Sencha special this afternoon.
My daughter was home (college is less than an hour away) and in a tizz about boyfriend troubles and the HUGE amount of work there is to do before the end of the semester...I stuck a bowl of matcha in her hand and told her to drink it. It seemed to help.

I'm just wondering, how long do you allow wet leaves to remain in your brewing vessel? It would probably take me two days to get 10+ steeps out of one batch since I usually like to vary it up every few cups. Can you let wet leaves sit in a gaiwan for that long? How long until they start to get a little funky?

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
That's reassuring to read. I do this pretty often (with a gaiwan) and wondered if it was poor tea hygiene. But it feels like a waste to throw out leaves after only a couple of infusions, and some days a couple of infusions is all I have time for.Chip wrote:I will go 2ish days total, but some members go much longer for certain types of tea.
